Amplitude integration

Why integrate Contextual with Amplitude

Although you can track Guide performance in Contextual, you may also like to check your product's critical event or product's usage interval in Amplitude. You can set up retention graphs and user lifecycle graphs in Amplitude and use Contextual Guide results to see which Guides are helping. You can then guide and test changes in Contextual Guides to see what gets the best results to improve user engagement.

How to set it up:

  1. You will need both a Contextual account and a Amplitude account. Go here to signup for a free amplitude acocunt

  2. To ensure that Contextual Guide data links up to your userprofiles inside of Amplitude, please make sure that you have used the same unique identifier in Amplitude (user_id) as Contextual (sh_cuid).

  3. Once you have set up both the Amplitude and Contextual integrations then go to the integrations page inside of Contextual and select the Amplitude logo.

  4. Then input the API Key from the project on the API Key field.

  5. The final step is to enable the different data signals that you would like to receive.
